#T4 – Pettersson & Findus (2017)

– PETTERSSON & FINDUS –
(A children’s play by Sven Nordqvist)

This was the biggest and most beautiful challenge for me in the theater so far.

In the 2 person stage play, I could feel like a small child again, because i was playing the main role of the cat „Findus„. Which means, jumping around, being silly, breaking things, singing, dancing, rapping, morning gymnastic.. and all this at the same time.

Because the old Pettersson lives alone in his little house, until he gets one day a strange gift: In a cardboard box, in which were originally green peas before, he found the young cat Findus. They become best friends and lived since then happily together in Pettersson’s house.

But Findus is in love with hopping – it’s especially nice to jump on the bed shortly after waking up. One morning it was to crazy and Pettersson was upset, they get in a fight and Findus decided to move out! He can live very well in the old toilet behind the house, for sure! With Pettersson’s help, he settled in his new comfortable house and was extremely satisfied.

But then, one evening, Findus suddenly feels very queasy in the night. If he – but only for a short time – could go back to Pettersson in the bright, cozy house? SURE, HE CAN!
